I am a writer and critic who loves combing through visual culture. Much of my writing scrutinizes how cultural producers intersect with race, power and culture. I am trained as a visual critic and my reviews, interviews, profiles and features have been featured in KQED Arts, Hyphen, Art In America, After Image, Art Practical and numerous exhibition catalog essays.

For a sample of critical and culture-based writing please visit my online writing portfolio. Although it is not comprehensive it will offer considerable scope.

I am currently working on a series of essays called The Visits which investigate the intersections of incarceration, place and visual culture.
